Community Outreach is at the heart of the TEAM Foundation’s mission to bridge the gap between education and access to care. We believe that meaningful learning happens not only in the classroom, but through direct service to individuals and communities who need it most.

Through our outreach initiatives, students and clinicians work side by side to provide care, education, and support in underserved communities. These experiences create opportunities for future physical therapy professionals to apply their skills in real-world settings while developing a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and cultural factors that impact health and recovery.

The Painted Turtle

We are proud to partner with The Painted Turtle, an extraordinary camp that provides life-changing experiences for children and families navigating complex medical conditions. Through this partnership, TEAM Foundation mentors and students have the opportunity to serve as volunteers, supporting campers with compassion, encouragement, and hands-on care.
This experience goes far beyond volunteering—it’s an opportunity to build meaningful connections, foster joy, and be part of a community centered on resilience and inclusion. For our students and clinicians, it reinforces the heart of our mission: combining education with service to create lasting impact in the lives of others.
